Our Philosophy:
619 Lacrosse’s core foundational philosophy is centered on using an elite training experience to further develop and advance athletes who are often underserved and overlooked because of the communities they live in or come from. At 619 Lacrosse, we strive to provide our athletes with a core curriculum, training, and instruction based on tangible and measurable player development with the support of US Lacrosse and our surrounding Metropolitan San Diego Community.
619 Lacrosse DOES NOT see club lacrosse solely as a platform to assemble teams and play in tournament events while draining parents of their resources with false promises. Our goals are focused on taking players through a developmental journey where participants will learn the fundamentals required to play the game at an advanced level in a challenging, productive, competitive, and fun environment; All while celebrating our player’s personal and cultural identity in the process. We’re here to help you be the best player you want to be.
Skills Training
We want our players to confidently perform no matter the competition. We teach the fundamental skills they need to become dynamic and better all around players.
We strive to teach our players fun and innovative ways to improve their skills while always staying competitive.
Critical Thinking
Our players are highly encouraged to be students of the game. Our coaches constantly focus on the strategy behind various movements and plays. Additionally, we provide materials for players to study outside of trainings.
Inclusion & Exposure
While Diversity is a focal point, inclusion and exposure is paramount. The lacrosse community continues to grow but with limited exposure and resource for communities of color. Our dedication to player enrichment is an intentional effort to spotlight players who are normally undeserved and not acknowledged for their talents and appeal.
Growing the Game
It’s no longer just about skill. To reach the highest caliber our players need to be some of the most powerful players on the field. We focus heavily on developing players physical abilities so that they can perform at their maximum potential.
